　　why aren't we tired of something so fanciful, so unrealistic, and, i would say, so unimaginative? how can a story like that endure generations of repetition`? because, i think, it is a typical succestory. it is highly philosophical and symbolic. by implication, we see a 4-step definition of success:

　　1 ) a goal to be set. asrepresented by the beautiful princess;

　　2 ) challenges to be met, as represented by the three tasks; 3 ) the proceof surmounting, as represented by the ordeals the youth goes through; and 4 ) the reward of success, as represented by the happy marriage. the story not only caters to everyone's inward yearning forsuccess, but also emphasizes the inseparability of the proceand the result. the reward of succewill be much amplified if the path leading towards it is treacherous, and vice versa.

　　if a person inherits his father's millions and leads an easy life, he is not a successfulperson even in material terms, because there are no difficultiesinvolved in his achieving affluence.

It’s about seeing people for who they are and not what they have. And we should always remember to be ourselves. Other might have things that we desire but being what we really are is the only trail leading to the true colors of life. Most of all, it’s about choosing to use your life to touch someone else’s in a way that could have never been achieved otherwise.

　　The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers; we buy more but enjoy them less. We’ve learnt how to make a living but not a life, we’ve added years to life, but not life to years. And it is time for us to choose whether to make a difference in our life.

　　when my grandmother put on new clothes on new year‘s day， she would be quite satisfied and proud， because many children would come to appreciate it. at that time， new clothes are rare for common people. sixty years ago， it’s quite usual that a big family crowded in a small room. they put up a curtain separating the house into two parts， and sometimes there might be some mice. my grandma said they played only seated in bed and several children did their homework on a small table.

　　but now， good conditions， most families not only have a nice house with a lot of furniture， but also have more than one house. great changes have taken place gradually around us， especially after the reform and opening up. history tells us and tells future， dengxiaoping‘ construction was right. in XX， our country joined the wto. then we launched the shenzhou v， vi， vii and chang’e spaceship into space， and held the beijing olympics. we still remember the yesterday of last year， when the big earthquake happened， the whole nation was shocked and moved. not only volunteers but everyone was devoted to help people in need. today we see a new look of sichuan people， the energy and hope of sichuan people. what a beautiful day!
